This Privacy Policy describes how Kutty Kathai ("we", "us", or "our"), operated by Dineshkumar Kannan, collects, uses, and protects information from users of our mobile application and website at ulagam.cloud.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information: Name, email address, and password when you register.
• Child profile data: Child's name, age, nickname, and relationship information to personalise stories. We do not collect government IDs or sensitive personal data of children.
• Photos: Photos uploaded by parents/guardians for story character creation. Photos are processed to generate AI illustrations and are stored securely on AWS S3 (Mumbai region, India).
• Payment information: Processed securely by Razorpay/Cashfree. We do not store card numbers or banking details.
• Usage data: App interactions and story generation requests for service improvement.

2. Children's Privacy (COPPA & DPDP)

• Our app is designed for use by parents and guardians, not directly by children under 13.
• All child profile data is entered by the parent/guardian who holds the account.
• We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA 2025) and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP Act 2023).
• We do not sell or share children's personal data with third parties for advertising.
• Parents may request deletion of all child data at any time by contacting us.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To generate personalised AI storybooks
• To process payments and manage subscriptions
• To send service-related communications
• To improve app performance and user experience

4. Data Storage & Security

All data is stored on servers located in India (AWS Mumbai region), ensuring compliance with DPDP Act data residency requirements. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest.

5. Third-Party Services

• Firebase (Google): Authentication services
• AWS S3: Secure image storage (India region)
• OpenRouter: AI story generation (stories processed, not stored)
• Razorpay / Cashfree: Payment processing

6. Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing dinesh.sun7@gmail.com. Requests are processed within 30 days.
